Project Thesis: "Camera-based vision system" (Part of SIMERO-Project):
A method is described, with which it is possible to supervise a robot cell with suitable means that obstacles are recognized. The project is divided into a hard and a software part. With the hardware different criteria and restrictions had to be considered, mainly cost factors, availability and industrial fitness. Already during planning and installation of the lighting system it was tried to reduce or even eliminate possible sources of error. The cameras used do produce construction dependent distortions, which have to be eliminated by the software part.In addition to the undistortion, the software also computes the cameras internal and external parameters to be.
